Living Organ Donation
Relatives, loved ones, friends and even individuals who wish to remain anonymous often serve as living donors to spare a patient a long and uncertain wait. These recipients are friends, family, and sometimes even strangers. In 2021, more than 6,500 transplants were made possible by generous living donors.

The National Kidney Donation Organization (NKDO) is an organization of living donors who are dedicated to mentoring those looking to donate a kidney as well as helping those who are in need of a kidney transplant.
