Activating existing volunteers
"Hello [first name],

At [OPO], we are passionate about activating volunteers of all ages to promote organ, eye, and tissue donation in our community.

I am excited to share that [OPO] is partnered with SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates. SODA has over 75 student-led chapters on high school, college, and graduate school campuses across the country that are focused on peer-to-peer advocacy. Since 2014, SODA's student advocates have educated over 124,000 people about the importance of donation and have registered nearly 8,000 donors. By hosting an advocacy event or starting a SODA chapter, students in our area have the opportunity to help save lives.

Do you know a student who may be interested in making a difference by advocating for organ, eye, and tissue donation? I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your help in saving lives."

Mobilizing your colleagues
"Hi [first name],

[OPO] has been working with SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates to encourage high school, college, and graduate students to advocate for organ, eye, and tissue donation in our community.

I am hoping you can help me identify students who are passionate about donation or interested in a career in medicine to advocate for donation at their school.

Do you know any students who may be interested in this life-saving cause? I appreciate your time and hope to hear back from you soon."

Reaching student groups at local campuses

Our partner, SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates, manages 75+ student-led chapters on high schools, colleges, and graduate school campuses across the country. These chapters focus on peer-to-peer advocacy, and we would love to help support passionate students at [school name].

SODA National provides mentorship, funding, supplies, and how-to guides for their student advocates. This opportunity would help students save lives while simultaneously gaining leadership skills through planning programs, meeting like-minded peers, and receiving mentoring.

Would you be open to discussing this opportunity further? If so, I'd be happy to share my upcoming availability for a 15-minute meeting."
