Ziyan Liu

As a heart transplant recipient herself, Ziyan has always been extremely passionate about organ donation advocacy. In high school, she was the president of the Amador Valley High School chapter of SODA, and in the fall of 2024, she founded the Johns Hopkins University chapter of SODA.

Ziyan joined the national team this year as a student engagement intern, where she hopes to learn more about the behind-the-scenes of SODA and further SODA's advocacy efforts.

Outside of SODA, Ziyan is a freshman at Johns Hopkins University, where she is studying Molecular and Cellular Biology and Psychology on the premed track. She hopes to work in pediatric cardiology someday, focusing on solid organ transplants. In her free time, she likes to read, write, play her ukulele and guitar, and spend time with her friends and family.
