Supplies Volunteer

A picture of Nicole Nidea

Tawny grew up in a suburb outside of Chicago, IL and moved to Wisconsin her senior year of high school. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 2003 with a BS in Social Work.

Her sister is her hero! She received 64% of her sister’s liver in September 2015 because she had Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and Primary Biliary Cholangitis.

She has enjoyed volunteering for UW Organ and Tissue Donation and Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin since shortly after her transplant. Tawny has been promoting SODA since 2017 and putting out flyers for students at Versiti blood drives ever since. When she’s not volunteering she really enjoys doing large jigsaw puzzles and having lunch with her friends. Prior to her transplant she was a Case Manager at a large facility for adults with developmental disabilities. She has a passion for helping to improve the lives of others.

Tawny is excited to be volunteering with SODA and helping with the success of new and current SODA chapters.
