Skotti Torrence

Skotti first learned about SODA in 2018 while attending the University of Nevada, Reno. Along with a group of peers, she formed the first SODA chapter based in Nevada and headed the leadership team until her graduation in 2020.

In 2022, Skotti began her education at the University of Nevada, Reno- School of Medicine, pursuing her MD. She noted the need for more organ, eye, and tissue donation education in her medical education. She formed a graduate SODA chapter with the help of her classmates and has worked to bring more donation education to her school since. As Skotti is now a 3rd-year medical student, she is helping first- and second-year students take over the chapter as she moves into the clinical phase of her education.

In April 2024, she joined the National Board as a Graduate Student Liaison. Skotti is excited to work with the Board and contribute to SODA's continued growth and improvement.
