Ryan Dong

Ryan has been a board member of his high school's Stevenson High School SODA Chapter and has been devoted to spreading awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation since 2022. Realizing a negative stigma around organ donation throughout his school, he was first introduced to SODA in search of organizations he could work with to combat the hesitance he observed in his fellow students surrounding organ donation and spread awareness throughout his community.

Throughout his time at SODA, Ryan has worked with his SODA Chapter to organize multiple outreach events throughout the Chicagoland area. He hopes to study sociology at university to study how to bridge inequalities best and drive social change. Outside of SODA, Ryan plays club and varsity volleyball and also serves as the co-president of his high school's chapter of National Honor Society.

As High School Student Liaison, Ryan works with the Board of Directors to help SODA reach its full potential, giving his insight as a high school student leader. He hopes to further develop SODA and spread more awareness surrounding organ donation!
