Kim Charles

Kim Charles joined the Board of Directors for SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates in 2022 and is passionate about advancing awareness and education around organ, eye, and tissue donation. She brings more than two decades of experience in strategic communications, community engagement, marketing and volunteer management, with a career rooted in healthcare and mission-driven organizations.

Kim currently serves as Communications Manager for a multi-state healthcare organization, where she leads internal communications strategy focused on aligning employees with organizational priorities, values, strengthening culture, and enhancing engagement through clear, effective messaging.

Previously, Kim served as Executive Director of Donate Life Texas, where she led a statewide coalition of organ, eye, and tissue organizations and partners to increase donor registration and public awareness. She also held leadership roles at Southwest Transplant Alliance and Indiana Donor Network, where she developed programs that increased donor registration and strengthened community outreach.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and additional certifications in nonprofit management and event management. She is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Dallas and continues to support initiatives that create meaningful, life-saving impact.
