Kavya Rajan

After hearing the story of her math teacher’s daughter who received a heart transplant, Kavya was deeply moved by the life-saving impact of organ donation. That moment inspired her to take action, leading her to found the SODA chapter at Innovation Academy High School with the goal of bringing more awareness and conversation to her community.

Since starting the chapter, Kavya has focused on making organ donation education more accessible and engaging for students. She works to create meaningful opportunities for her peers to get involved, whether through outreach, events, or conversations that challenge misconceptions and encourage informed decisions. As a High School Student Liaison, she collaborates with the Board of Directors to represent student voices and help expand SODA’s reach across schools.

Outside of SODA, Kavya has trained in karate for several years, and she also enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family.!
